January has been amazing so far and it also felt like it passed in two seconds! I've loved the energy of everyone as rehearsals started and it's been great starting to find our vibe together - and even though I hate not being at the studio, we even got a snow day out of January on the very last day! All in all, I'd say January was pretty great. That being said, I miss listening to Christmas music all day long LOL.
Thank you to everyone for following our new mask requirements in the studio, this helps us all feel much safer and I appreciate your cooperation! I wanted to clarify that the disposable masks with the blue on the outside aren't enough on their own - please read about masks in our COVID section of this newsletter. This Saturday will mark the return of our Beginner Sensual Bachata weekly group class series, I look forward to seeing my students again! Unfortunately, I have decided to not do our Wednesday night Training Sessions program for now as there is not enough interest to run the program - hopefully another time!
All intensives will be done every month or every other month, and will be two hour long sessions going forward. We will do our Beginner Level Sensual Bachata Intensive, Intermediate Level Sensual Bachata Intensive, Styling Intensives and more!
I hope to dance with you all soon - it's been an interesting time for group class offerings and I am trying to adjust to offer what I can. I truly miss seeing everyone that I used to see in my classes, and I hope you are all doing well and staying safe!
By far, joining Kat's bachata dance team has been my favorite activity I have discovered in the Washington DC (DMV) area. Kat Arias has built a dance community around her self that is founded on her vision of unity on the dance floor. The comraderie, fun atmosphere, supportive teammates, and most awesome of all: bachata skills workshops and different types of lesson she offers makes you grow into the bachatero/-a you were always meant to be!
